Moscow – Andijan – Moscow flight launched

After a long break, the Andijan International Airport, Uzbekistan resumes its activities by the efforts of Uzbekistan Airports JSC.

In accordance with the permission received from the Uzbek aviation authorities, since December 22, 2019 the Russia’s IrAero Airlines has begun operating its flights en route Moscow, Russia – Andijan, Uzbekistan – Moscow on its Superjet-100 aircraft.

IrAero Airlines was founded in 1999. The airline regularly carries out transportation throughout the Russian Federation and in neighbouring countries.

The Andijan airfield, which is one of the oldest transport hubs in the Ferghana Valley, Uzbekistan was built in 1954. The last domestic regular flight en route Andijan – Tashkent was carried out on a Boeing-757 aircraft in October 2018.

To achieve the objectives established by the Government of Uzbekistan to attract foreign tourists to the country Uzbekistan Airports JSC in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport and the State Committee for Tourism Development, Uzbekistan will continue to actively work to increase the number of flights to the country’s airports and expand the existing air route network.
