Almaty International Airport operates normally after airplane crash

The Almaty International Airport, Kazakhstan is operating normally after a plane crash, Trend reports with reference to RIA Novosti, as the airport’s press service informed on Friday.

The Bek Air’s plane was operating its domestic flight en route Almaty – Nur-Sultan and lost its altitude during take-off so it broke through a concrete fence. There was a collision with a two-story building. According to the latest data from the mayor’s office of Almaty, 14 people became victims of the plane crash, 35 were injured. Fokker-100 type flights and Bek Air airline operations have been suspended.

“Almaty International Airport is operating normally, there are no changes in the flight schedule due to an emergency,” the airport said on a Facebook page.
