Investigation launched on Bek Air’s plane crash in Kazakhstan

The Kazakh Interior Ministry launched an investigation into the crash of a Bek Air airline near Almaty on Friday morning, Trend reports citing TASS.

“The Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched a pre-trial investigation under Article 344, Part 3 (Violation of the safety and operation rules of air transport) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” the agency’s press service said in a statement. “An investigative and operational group has been created from among experienced investigators and forensic experts forming the central apparatus of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and police departments on transport.”

Until the circumstances of the incident are clarified, the airline’s work is temporarily suspended. A government commission has been set up to investigate the causes of the emergency.
