Qatar Airways to start flying to Kazakhstan

Qatar Airways will begin flying to Kazakhstan, the Kazakh Civil Aviation Committee (CAC) reported, Kazinform News Agency reported.

“On March 30, 2020, the Qatar Airways inauguration flight en route Doha – Nur Sultan will take place. On April 1, 2020, the Qatar Airways inauguration flight en route Doha – Almaty will take place. Inaugural flights will be carried out on an aircraft such as a Boeing 787 (Dreamliner),” the CAC said on Facebook.

According to the Committee, Qatar Airways will operate Doha – Nur Sultan regular passenger flights with a frequency of two flights per week and Doha – Almaty ones with a frequency of four flights per week on an Airbus-320 aircraft.

“In general, Qatar Airways will operate six scheduled passenger flights per week to Kazakhstan. The start of air ticket sales for flights between the two countries is scheduled for January 16, 2020. The launching of the flight will allow Kazakh passengers to travel to 160 destinations with Qatar Airways,” the Civil Aviation Committee added.

Qatar Airways is a national airline of Qatar, is one of the largest air carriers in the world. The aircraft fleet consists of 233 aircraft. Hamad International Airport in Doha is a main transit hub of this airline. In 2018, as a whole, this airline transported about 29 million passengers.
