Kazakhstan evacuates its citizens from a number of cities in China

Kazakhstan will organize additional flights for the export of its citizens from China, Trend reported on Wednesday with reference to the Kazakh Embassy in China.

According to the report, the embassy is currently working on the issue of organizing special flights from Beijing and Shanghai. It is noted that the evacuation will be carried out at the expense of the state.

The embassy notes that information on the date, time and other details of the flight will be announced additionally.

Recall that in December 2019, the Chinese authorities informed the World Health Organization about an outbreak of an unknown type of pneumonia in the city of Wuhan, located in the central part of the country. For this reason, Kazakhstan has currently suspended bus, rail and air links with China.

Experts have identified the causative agent of the disease – coronavirus 2019-nCoV. According to the latest data, the total number of people infected with the virus in China has reached 24.551 thousand people, 493 of whom have died.

Outside of China, infections have been reported in Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Thailand, Japan, South Korea, the United States, Canada, Vietnam, Singapore, Nepal, France, Australia and Malaysia.
