Kyrgyz authorities want to give all airports in the country to be externally controlled

The authorities of Kyrgyzstan intend to attract an internationally recognized investor in order to give all 11 airports of the country under his control. According to the press service of the government, this is necessary to get the country out of the transport deadlock and turn it into a transit country.

“Taking into account the geographical location of Kyrgyzstan, Manas Airport should become a regional transit cargo center providing international logistics services and connecting Southeast Asia and Europe. As a task to develop the potential of Manas International Airport as a center for air traffic by 2023, the republic may become one of the main air hubs of Central Asia,” the Government emphasizes.
