Pegasus Airlines pilot passes out shortly before landing in Istanbul

The plane owned by Pegasus Airlines, Turkey with a fainted pilot onboard landed at Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen International Airport. The aircraft was operating its flight No. PC902 to fly from Vienna to Istanbul.

Turkish media reported that the pilot lost his consciousness shortly before landing. The co-pilot informed the ground services about the emergency on board and landed the plane on his own.

After landing, the ambulance took the pilot. Now his condition is assessed by doctors as satisfactory.

Recall, on February 5, 2020 the Pegasus Airlines plane was operating its Izmir – Istanbul flight No. PC2193 and rolled out the runway at Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen International Airport when landing. As a result, the plane fell into three parts. According to official figures, three people died and 179 were injured.
