Air Astana successfully passes its sixth operational safety audit

The Kazakhstan’s flag air carrier has successfully passed its sixth IATA’s Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) conducted by IATA. For the first time, the airline was audited in 2007 and was then certified in every two years in 2009, 2011, 2013 and 2015. The next audit is scheduled for 2019.

The IOSA is an internationally recognized verification system designed to evaluate airline’s production control and management systems.

In the course of the last audit, an independent verification of the documentation and compliance with at least 1,000 IOSA standards was conducted in all sectors of the air carrier’s activities. These include corporate systems of organization and management, flight operations, flight control and dispatch service, technical and ground handling of aircraft, airborne services, cargo operations and aviation security.

The air carrier was previously audited in 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013 and 2015.
