Ministry of Transport wants to conduct daily inspection of civil aviation facilities

The Ministry of Transport and Roads has plans to conduct a daily inspection of civil aviation facilities, this became known today, September 12, at a meeting of the Committee on Transport, Communications, Architecture and Construction of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan.

Let’s note, the above-mentioned Committee considered amendments to the Law “On the Order to Conduct Inspections of Business Entities” today, as it was initiated by the Government of Kyrgyzstan.

Reportedly, oversight of aviation safety operations must be conducted on a continuous basis.

The permanent supervision of the State over the activities of commercial air transport enterprises for ensuring safety is an integral part of the certification system and an important element of the state responsibility for compliance with the required operational standards in order to provide the population with safe and reliable commercial air transport services.

“In view of the foregoing, we note that the verification of air transport enterprises for flight safety purposes does not fall under the principles of the Law “On the Order to Conduct Inspections of Business Entities”, the Ministry of Transport informs.

According to the Deputy Minister of Transport and Roads of the Kyrgyz Republic, there are plans to conduct a daily inspection of these facilities.

Let’s note, following the results of discussion, the Parliament members have decided to remove this question from the agenda and to improve it.
